On October 21,2000

I married my best friend

It was a beautiful fall day.
We were married in the gazebo on the lake in our hometown

I wore my mother crown from her wedding day

and I also wore my Grandmother's locket
that her brother gave her before he left for the USS Arizona.

I was so happy she let me wear it.

My Mother's best friend Pam made my bouquet & Robbie's boutonniere.
It was a beautiful small wedding with a reception to follow.

We went to Blue Heron Inn in LaPorte for our honeymoon.

This year we went to dinner.

Then came home and had cake with the kids,Dad and Mom.

Looks just like the one from our wedding day.

My poor blog has been very neglected.
I always promise you that I will pay attention to you but with the kids,the hubby,the house,and work..
You always fall to the side.
Never complaining.
You are always there when I need to vent to or confide in.
I have missed you..
Well alot has been going on I found a new job..I love.
I got to go to CHA..So much fun...

We had another Bridal Show..

Madelyn got her Unicorn Pillow Pet she had been wanting....Thank You Walgreens..

And the kids started school...

Plus this year we had a bonus..Alley started on crutches...

4 day before school she was going down the stairs and missed a few of them and landed on her foot.She didn't break it.but she did almost tore 3 of the 5 ligaments in her ankle..She is happy to be off the crutches..

We all enjoy being sick over Labor Day..

And now I am working on Trick or Treat Bags for Madelyn's Class..

I am making almost 30 of them...

My finished scraproom...And I love it...

This is from the door of my custom made big table.

The base of the table is two 8 cube expedits, and one 4 cube expedit.

It has wonderful storage and my children can't get to their albums no problem..

My ribbon hanging for Ribbon Ring they were the best thing I have ever bought.

Also hanging on the hook is my little stamps book.It show me what little stamps I have...

Here is my wall of shelves.It is just how I wanted it...

This is one of my binders where I store my clear stamps.However I am not sure what I am going to do.I use the Making Memories Clear Stamp Folders. but they have disco them so I am not sure what I am going to do now..I have about 10 of them that are still empty.So I am good for a while.

I have a separate binder for different stamp companies.This one for the luv of art stamps binder...Which are my favorites...Thanks Norma...Can't wait to see next months stamps.

On Father Day,Robbie didn't want any gifts he want to take the kids to the show.So we went to see Toy Story 3...Awesome movie...I cried a bit at the end...Madelyn wants to see it again...

FOR SUMMER!!!!

Yes and so is mom...I will be looking for a new job since I was laid off..This will be the first summer in a long time that mom will be home.I am sure my kiddos will want me to find something soon..LOL.

I will enjoy the time I have with the kiddos since all of them will be in school all day next year.

Madelyn has full day kindergarten in the new kindergarten building.

Robert is going to be a 6th grader in the middle school.

Alley will be a junior in the high school.

WoW time flies...

We had a D.A.R.E. Graduation...Way to Go Robert..Good bye to the fifth grader...Here come the middle school.We already took a tour of the building.I think he is excited.

The Hobart High School participated in the Every Fifteen Minutes Program.We had simulated a 3 car accident with ambulance, fire truck, rescue, helicopter, police, corner, and the grim reaper with the dead students.Alley was the drunk student who cause the accident on the way to prom.She "killed" her friend and "paralyze" another.It shock and stunned alot of the students..How a good kid can loose everything with one mistake..

We had Underclassmen Awards Night...Way to Go Alley....

We had a Graduation.

Madelyn is no longer a Brickie Kidz.She is now going to kindergarten in the fall.

Thanks to Mrs.Bunch and Mrs Zoladz and all the big kids/seniors for a wonderful year...

Spring Break....

Well it is spring break this week...

Alley has spent her first spring break away us and with her best friend Zach and his family in Florida

She is having a blast...She told me she is a little burn,Then she post a photo to her facebook can you say red..Yes she is burnt.She told me she is more burnt that the photo...Poor girl.I am worried not because I am not there to take care of her.So I am sure I am bugging her by call all the time to see how she is..

Us back home has has a very boring spring break because mom and dad has had to work..

We had a wonderful Easter at my grandmother's apartment...

We are suppose to make a road trip to pick up Alley's new used car....

Robert and Madelyn wants us to stop at Sonic for happy hour 1/2 prices slushes ..I want to make the road trip to the scrapbooking store.Hopefully we can go to both places while we are out in Illinois...

My new room is nearly done..

It went from light purple to rivers edge.It is so beautiful.

My new table just needs the trim around it then it will be done.

I got rid of my tall shelf , my table, and my homemade clip-it up..

I did keep my same curtains..

I took somethings off the wall and move them around.

It looks so amazing.

I went to Ikea and bought the bygel rails and baskets

they look great and now I can see all my punches,glimmer mist,and glitter.

my table is made out of
2 eight cube expedits, and one four expedit.
Lots of storage and now my children can get to the albums easy.

My scrapbooking/computer room is still under construction..I thought today would be the day I could post some pictures but it is not so...I still have to put up some layouts up on the walls, my racks, and the bars for my punches.. I love the color I put on the walls it is so pretty it lightens the room up.

We have also been very busy planning Alley sweet sixteen birthday party.

I promise I will post some photos soon....

I am not sure why..I have been busy with work and the kids like every other mom on this planet...I have been surfing the web and I have even won a stamp set on Heidi Swapp web show..

I was so shock to see the little private message appear on the screen...I can't wait til it come...
While surfing the web I also found a very talented blog she calls herself swissgirl designs.I scraplifted an idea of hers..So I want to give her credit for it...

This is a layout I did of my grandma and grandpa banks.I just love this photo...I need to ask my aunt and uncle if they have any more photos I can have copy of..I would love to scrap some more of my dads side of the family...
Alley attended the winter formal earlier this month with her boyfriend Seth...

I did another layout of Alley since her sixteenth birthday is right around the corner..We are work on her sweet sixteen party.It should be fun..I know she can't wait.But her is the layout.I think it is so cute..

I also found out this week that new school year Madelyn will have full day Kindergarten..They are turn one of the elementary school in our town to a kindergarten and preschool building.This will be so different..I was a little sad but she is so happy.She can't wait..
Robert is growing so fast..I am sure by the end of school this year he will be as tall as me.Him and his friends are going thru a faze they are all growing their hair out..He now has those side swept bangs..He looks so grown up...And he will be in Middle School next year.Here come the cell phone this summer.Hope he follows those rules..

Well it has been a while since I blog to you all...

This year we have a 10th graderAlley is a very busy teenage and can I say she now has her permit..wow I can't believe my baby is driving a car.She is a JV cheerleader,and is busy with booster club,team lead, and Drama.

Robert has grown so much this summer and can I said I think before the end of the year he will be taller than Alley.That fact Alley doesn't like.He is now a safety patrol at school and I finally let him walk to school which I could have let him last year.But I was fearful of liverpool road there is no crossing guard there.but he show how careful he is..He is still in Taewondo but has taken a little break from that so we can get his asthma under control.We had to take him off of one of his meds. because it was giving him daily migraines..He is doing much better now.

Two good things about Madelyn being in school she is attending the Brickie Kidz preschool in the high school is that if anythings happens Alley is there and it is amazing..She has a high school buddy (her name is Becky) who helps her the whole time she is there.They will change during the school year.She loves preschool.I find myself coming home from work to a quite house so I turn on Nick and go to my scraproom to check my e-mail and scrapbook a little before I go pick her up.Which Poppie has been begging to do..It is so weird to have all my children in school.

Today we attend the last mass at the church.
Where my parents were married.
Where I was baptized.

I have always thought it was the most beautiful church..
This day was filled with alot of tears , seeing old friends who had moved away and fond memories of my childhood.
We spent alot of Sundays going to mass there.
I remember going to the bingo games in the hall with Mom and Grandma Torchia.I always heard stories from Aunt Jo-Ann about the Rosary Society and the style shows..I have so many,many memories from the church that was our family.In fact my great aunts were some of the people who went to the Catholic Diocese to have a church in Calumet Township...
The Knights of Columbus were there it was beautiful.

The bishop and the priest who have served the parish over the years.
And as some of us said Father Lou was smiling down on us with a tear in his eye as they said the last mass at his beloved Blessed Sacrament Church.

I had to get one last photo of my three children in the church I hold so dear in my heart.
I want the moment to last a lifetime..

One last photo before walking out the doors and said good bye to my childhood forever.

It has been so long..Well I stepped away from blog..I am so sorry,but I need a break.I have been working two jobs and well I have been drained.We also had everyone in the house very sick with a virus last week.That start with a headache then a fever,body aches,nausea,runny nose,then a headache again and a horrible cough that is still with us.But now that the spring is right around the corner.I am happy warm weather..I am sick of the cold and snow...
I am on facebook now and it has been so much fun..I have found so many friends from high school.In fact the girls from the class of 1991 now have a girls night out once a month.It was a blast..I look forward every month being able to catch up with friends talking about the dumb things we did as teenagers and being mommies now.I even scrapbook the photo of our first Girls Night Out.
Out of all the class in high school we all were friends no matter what group you hung out with in high school..It is so wonderful to have so many nice ladies I get to call my friends.

Alley had her first Semi formal dance..She ask a friend to go with her.The day the dance was schedule for we had ice storm and freezing temperatures so they canceled the dance and reschedule it for the following week.Can you say it was horrible I had to call the florist and hope they didn't make the flowers yet.I can't believe they did that it was horrible to think that all the changes the kids and their parents had to make.But in the end.Everything turn out.It was wonderful.She had a great time...

I also did a layout of the kids from a photo my brother Jimmy took...The title of this layout is Peace & Love...
I also had one of my layouts used in the Valentines Email for The Memory Zone.I was so happy.It was a old photo of Alley and her ex boyfriend Tony from their middle school dance that I had not scrapbook yet.
Today is my day off and I will be very busy cleaning, working out and hopefully I can scrap a few things I need to work on..

Cut Loose Challenge...

Last design team meeting at The Memory Zone.
We were challenge to do a layout from the book Cut Loose.I loved the book.It says feel free to break the "rules" of scrapbooking.So I did both number 3 challenges to journal before taking the photo.So that is what I did.And then that night the freshman squad posed I I thought wow this is it.The perfect photo for my little journaling.

The other part of the challenge was to scrapbook everyday occurrence using two non-specific photos.This was not too hard.My everyday comfort is my morning coffee checking my e-mail and my red slippers.

Maddy was my little Cheer Bear.

She loves her costume so much..
This year was so fun for her.She really got into it going up to the houses and saying trick or treat and thank you..

Robert wanted to be a Bank Robber..
We told him He would not make a very good robber.
Because while trick or treating he broke his gun and lost his bandana.He is already talking about what her wants to be next year...

Alley was a Geisha
And my sweet daughter wore my Aunt Jo-Ann's costume she made many, many years ago.She looked so cute..She had a costume party to go to and it was a bonfire so she didn't want to put much make-up on,nor did she were the wig...
But she went to a few houses with her brother and sister..

I am so happy with my newly cleaned closet.
I now can find any I am looking for and all my bags are nicely folded in my got paper bag.
All my children notebooks boxes are nicely stack and easy to get to so are their grocery bag fill of supplies.

It is my hefty big bags (because they are cheaper that the hanging folders right now.But will be getting some when I can.)and my cropper hopper workstation..I have all my paper in it.So I know where all my paper is and I am not buy double papers and a don't have stacks of paper everywhere.
Everything is neat and in its place.

Brickie Pride...

As some of you know last Friday night was the Hobart Brickies last game in the brickie bowl for the regular season..It was bitter sweet.

So see how much pride we have for our football team and that we love that old brickie bowl

Like Coach Kerr said after the game,How many high football stadium can say they have a creek running drew the visitor side bleachers?

As you can see in the picture is was standing room only.

One of my daughter's friend took this photo of the team as the light were being shut off for the last season game.Who ever took it is beautiful...
I still have more photo to come later.I haven't downloaded them to my computer yet.

When thinking of our wedding day the first thing that comes to mind is how perfect the day was not too hot,not too cold just right.Especially for the middle of October.
It was a wonderful small wedding just like I wanted.
The reception was beautiful so pretty and decorated just perfect.And as a wedding present my friend Angelic (who is married to the DJ) went home and got the limo and surprised us with it for our ride home from the reception.The next day we drove to LaPorte ,In. to the Blue Heron Inn.It is on the pine lake and it is gorgeous.We drove to Michigan to look at the fall scenery and do a little shopping..

Each day better than the day before.

Shhh!!!! A dirty little secret....

Most scrapbookers know we have a dirty little secret in all our houses.
It is our neglected scraprooms.
Maybe because the children are call us to help them, we have to make dinner, deadlines, or design team meeting..But we put our rooms on the back burner.
The rest of our house is spotless but our scraprooms are less than desirable.
I will be the first to say my room is a mess...And then I decide to move shelves around because it was not working the other way.

OH MY...

Half way thru I was like what was I thinking...

Yes I think there is a table under there..I see a little brown on the edge.

And most of us have a little junk drawer in our kitchens..
But not me I have a junk closet...
And I think need a PRA (pack rat anonymous) meeting for my problem.Yes it is a closet with no clothes...But empty hangers..lol.I offer a challenge to anyone one willing to post some photos of dirty little secrets....
There will be little RAK for the messiest room..
And over the a couple month we can keep posting our progress.

At 3 am this morning I heard breaking glass and woke up to this...
I jump up on the bed forgetting how much pain I am in. Robbie ask what are you doing.I said someone flipped their car.Robbie ran out of the house to see if anyone needed help.There was one woman in the car.Other neighbors helped her out of the car.I am in shock she was alive and walking.
Two other neighbors that were talking with her before the cops came and they said they did not smell alcohol.We know she took the curb too fast..
By the time I got out there with the camera the cops were already there.
So sorry that the photos are so bad but it was 3 am..
and my camera was acting up...

I waited til this morning to take the picture of the pole she broke in two...And Robbie sweep some more glass that was in front of the house.

Well It was cold ,the photos I took are not that hot and I can say I was in sooo much pain...
But I was there..
Standing watching my daughter cheer her 1st Varsity Game...I felt so proud this is what she loves.She is down there in the picture.
The game was awesome(and I don't like football all that much).It was so close at the end the everyone in the stands were on their feet.Yelling for Hobart!!!!

And YES we won...

It was awesome to get the photo of all the students,coaches,cheerleaders,players celebrating in the middle of the field.

Next week I the Last Dance at the Brickie Bowl.The last football game for the bowl.They are have a big celebration.I will be there and I will be posting the photos too..
Hopefully it will be like a mini reunion...

I have been quite busy scrapping last week.I some how fell short of my goal for the year so I need to get some layouts done and some projects for the store...I am on track now..And I have even been getting things for a mini album I will be starting soon.

This was taken over the summer at Mickey D's.After we pick Alley up from summer gym..

And yes if you noticed a running theme in my layout.I have been stitching alot..I guess the cross stitch is coming out in my scrapbook layout.LOL..

This week I have gotten much done.Because I fell monday morning and bruised/broke my tailbone,not sure witch because I didn't go to the doctor.I didn't feel it necessary because they really can't do nothing for it.They only give you pain relievers and a doughnut pillow to sit on..So I am trying to take it easy.I still have to go to work thought.I wish it happened on my off week.This friday will be a challenge because we will be going to the Brickie Bowl for Homecoming.I think I will standing the whole time.LOL...
I think I am going to try and scrap for a while.

While driving in the car with your children you look over to see what the oldest one is doing..All I can ask is why??She says because I can.Leave it to my daughter and her many photos..
When we had the flood her phone got wet and she wanted all her photos from her phone..So I down loaded them on my card almost 200 photos later.I put them in the computer and found this one from that day in the car.LOL..So many new photo I get to scrapbook..
I love our cellphones they take such great photos for a cellphone.

As you all know I was in
The Bad Girls Academy

I didn't move on to round four..It is ok.
I am still playing along.And posting my layout in the expelled students gallery.
With all that is going on with the house.The sudden remodel of the basement since the flood and I had a family of sick children.Robert's asthma was in rare form.And we can't rip out the floors and the drywall fast enough.We found more mold grow on a wall we thought was ok.But we were wrong.Some mold was also found on a book shelf that didn't even get wet.I have spent my days bleaching floor and walls.Oh what fun.So I sent him to stay at my mother's house until all the mold is gone..He is doing much better over there.
Well I will be happy when my children are all home.Hopefully by Friday..

This is all the water damage we received in the basement this is the water you could see.but it was under all of the floor..so everywhere you walk you squished...hehehe.

All I can do is laugh about everything or I will be crying and I don't want to cry.

You don't realize when you live in a town with a lake and it flood how one side of town is cut of from the other side.and you have to find roads that are not flood so you can go downtown.

As you all know it has rain in our area for what seems like forever..
Yesterday when we got home from having dinner with my parents.Robert went down stairs and found water in his room.We started to mopping it up.But nothing seemed to work so we pick up the whole basement and I started to wash towels and other clothes and bring them upstairs..We keep checking how high the water was getting so we knew if we would have to bring up dressers or beds so they don't get ruined..But with lots luck and lots of prayers it worked we didn't have too..
We do have to rip out all our hard wood floors and the drywall it is all ruined..In fact Robbie called off of work today so he can start ripping everything out as soon as possible because Robert has asthma and I don't want him to end up in the hospital with problems..
I feel like crying because we had almost finished the basement.All we had left to do was to pick out trim and new paint for the family room.
Now it looks like we have to start from scratch..Some times I feel like we take a step ahead only to be push way back..But we will over come this.Some people have lost their whole house.And I only have lost hard wood floors some drywall and so cheap pressed wood shelves my children had.I will be praying for those people who lost more than me..
PS...I thanked my son this morning for moving to the basement even though his room needs to be redone now.Because that use to be my scrapbooking room until he asked to be down there everything would have been lost.He said well now can I have my room green camouflage..Such a positive attitude..
I will be going out to get a few photos from around town..This is the worst flooding Hobart has had...

LOL...Design school at Bad Girls Top Designer class/contest..For you that are not familiar with the class/contest..It runs for 6 weeks with an elimination at the end of the week..
Our assignments(layouts) are based on Design Principles.
This week our assignments are to have at least 2 types of layering...
Our class was taught by Miss Cari Fennell.
She shared some great tips on layering.
This is my assignment:

My layout is of Madelyn and Princess..For you who know Princess is normally not that friendly but when the camera come out she start posing for pictures with the kids..
I have alot of layering in my layout:paper,flowers,chipboard letters,journaling,stitching,ink...

I sure hope at least I make it to week 2!!!!!

I have been busy scrapping....
So I can meet my goal for the year..
I am a little behind.
So I think I need to get in gear and get some more done.I love how this layout turned out.
This photo is so Alley she can be so silly and crazy at times.
She had a try out today for the murder mystery dinner at the school for drama.She so wants to be in it..I am crossing my finger.This is all she talks about.How cool it is.Sometimes I am shock that she is my child.I was never so involved in high school like her.I just could wait to get out of there and now I look back and wondering what was the rush???Who knows???
Maybe because I was told by my counselor I was dumb and would never go to college.
I had a jerk for a boyfriend.
I have Dyslexia
back then they just put you in the slow classes that didn't challenge you..
So maybe that is why.
One good thing is I have a bunch of FABULOUS friends I made..
I tell Alley enjoy ever moment you have.Your only there for 4 years.

Football time...

Here is a layout I did of The Brickie Bowl during the day.

As you know when school start so does high school football.And I am from a town where as long as I can remember everyone goes to The Brickie Bowl on Friday night for the high school football game.It seems like the town shuts down for the game..It is a cute little football field..But this is the last season for the bowl.They are finishing touches on the new stadium.
This is the drawing it..

It is kind of sad that we will have to go to a new field and not The Brickie Bowl.That has so much history for the town of Hobart. The Brickyard will soon be the place for those Friday night games.The one nice thing is we will have a parking lot to park in And not have to find a parking spot downtown..

I brought out the paint,color pencils and, floss and dusted them off for my newest layouts..I never have been a big painter on my layouts.I don't know why but I am like how it makes this layout pop..I also have another layout I am finishing and will post tomorrow that I painted.I also tried my hand at doodling..I have seen it in several magazines..I am totaling loving it.I so love all templates.No matter what kind doodle genies, The crafter's workshop,or Bazzill In Stitch'z..I love them all...I even had to go and get some more purple floss because I used it all on the layout..

Well last night they had their first freshman football.And they won...
I need to drive Alley to the football game tonight because I need to take a few photos of the Brickie Bowl at night with the lights on.On the tracks side looking down..I hope that the cops don't make me leave before I get my shot..This is the last football season played at the Brickie Bowl..I need to make a layout so I can remember what it was like when I was on Friday nights when I was in high school.Because I am not sure what they will do with the field.Because next year they will be on the new field.I think they are going to name the new field The Brickyard..
They got permission to used the name from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway..Since the speedway has the same name.
As long as they didn't get into racing..LOL.
It is a football town.You have no worries..

Yippy school is starting tomorrow....
And yes my baby is a FRESHMAN...
My goodness she has grown-up so much this summer.
It was so fun signing her up for school this year taking her to the high school..{And yes it still smell the same as when I went there in 1991..Oh my that was a long time ago..}My mom text my while we were there and asked me "how does it feel to have 1 in high school???" I felt ok to sign her up but I was looking at the class rings and think of the letterman jacket and the drivers license that freaks me out..I am all ok when I think of her sweet sixteen birthday party.It is just the driving a car..Sometimes she is such a airhead...
As Alley would say Peace out girl scout....

Robert is starting the Fourth Grade..
Wow time is flying by so fast..He is so excited to have the same class as his best friend Daniel...They have been in the same class since the 1st grade.He has been begging me and his dad to ride his bike to school this year.I am so nervous about this because He will have to cross Ridge then Liverpool the Ridge again because we have no sidewalk to the school on our side of the road..And Liverpool don't have a crossing guard.I think I need to write a letter to our mayor about this problem...I think me and Robbie will be giving in if he can so responsibility on locking up his bike and watching where he rides...
He is a very good boy.

Maddy is getting so big and talkative and I was able to potty train her in one week..It is so wonderful not to have to change dirty diapers.
She is be going to preschool next year...I don't think she is quite ready this year...We and doing alot if preschool stuff at home.She loves to coloring and use her red scissors...I even bought some watercolors for her too...We have been working on her letters and numbers..
We watch word world..I think it is the best show ever made..I just wish they would come out with books too...

I DID IT.... I submitted to the Fancy Pants Design Team Call. I so many problems with it.It kept kicking it back to me..But on Sunday evening I was finally able to go thru and not come back to me...I can't wait to see who all gets chosen to be on their design team..Best wishes to all who has submitted..
I would have to say I am very happy with these layouts.They are some of my favs...I did have to redo the last one because I was not happy with it the first time I made it...

I don't know why I haven't been blogging..I guess there is only one word LAZY...And a bit of computer problems thrown in...But It is all better now..I told Robbie that I haven't even post the pictures from the parade or the fireworks.He said,What are you waiting for next 4th of July.So here they are.Robert and Maddy waiting the fire trucks go by...Robert decided not to walk the parade this year with his Taewondo group..But next year he will be..
Can we say OH MY...My baby is walk with the FRESHMAN Cheerleaders..Where has the time gone..I am not ready for this but as my mom said you better get ready...Here it is!!!!She has already started talking about cars and driving...
Like every year I try to get a photo of the kids at the band shell before the sun goes down..and the fireworks start.Here is this year s picture..Alley with her yohan tattoo still on her face.. And Robert...Lately I don't know what to do with him He is constantly crossing his eyes or making faces when I try to take his picture.Hopefully he grows out of this phase..But who knows???I figure if I scrapbook enough pictures of him looking like this he with think good lord what am I doing?and stop...LOL...
And Miss Maddy she has become quite the diva..She has her shades on all the time she say the sun hurts her eyes..She is just like mama..LOL.She love when we take the stroller because she don't want to walk she says I tired my legs hurt..We know she wants to stay the baby...But like I told her one day you will too big for her stroller..Hopefully not too soon..

Oh my I had the best time ever...I am so thankful that Rhonda and Marlene let us ladies attend the CHA show- Chicago.It was amazing,interesting and fun.Did I say fun oh yes..All of us stood in line for 55 minutes for a provo craft bag to get a number and with that number you were to find someone in the show to match up with someone else and win a prize.We were told we were the loudest group of girls that were waiting in line for our bags.It was so fun...I was handed my bag and no sooner there was my match in line with me.It was four of us..

We all won a prize.I pick out a limited edition Cricut cartridge Daisy Chain...Here is a picture from the show...Jen,Beth,Kelly,Me..

I came home with so many goodies...I even was given a MiMi camera case that isn't even on the market yet...I love it.I love my favorite item I receive was my Making Memories apron...

My cousin PJ and Hillary came up for vacation.I was so happy that me and the kids were able to see them and their baby Karmen she is such a doll..So happy

Well we had a busy month for may....with so scrapbook layouts throw in...
Robert made his First Holy Communion..It was so wonderful.He is growing up so quick.

Miss Maddy will be so happy to have her brother and sister home to play with.She enjoy the outside so much..And her speech is improving more and more each day.

Well we are in the swing of things with baseball..His team made it to the second round of tournament then lost..But they are improving..
Alley had her last band concert...I have never been more proud of her than I was at that moment.When Miss Kaiser announced Alley as Student Conductor.She rocked....

Well as the school year comes to a close..Alley,Cierra,and Devon tried out for the Freshman Cheer squad and made it...They are Hobart Brickie Freshman Cheerleaders....I think I am still in shock that I have a high schooler..She is so happy that she will be cheering with her best friends..

And hopefully my patio will be done one day soon...It feels like it is the never ending project..I told the hubby it needs to be done so soon..This patio is as big as a bedroom..I don't know what he was thinking..Maybe a dance floor.LOL.I guess we will be heading back to Menards for more bricks...And of course Alley started helping dad and ended up having dad pull up the brick that were not even...Got to love her....

Busy,Busy...

Life here is busy,busy with all the summer sports starting..
I think I can say this is one busy weekend.When Sunday comes I will be breathing a sigh of relief that we have gotten thru it... I will get you all caught up with our busy life..
Alley is working her 1st job..(tear)It is at the Little League.She is waiting for softball to start.She is in tumbling with the friends from school she loves it..She is having a blast and can I say wow she is working on her back tuck and she almost has it..This weekend she will be going on a retreat for Natural Helpers..I hope she has a wonderful time.She got her report card last week and I was so proud she had 3 As and 2 Bs.

Robert is busy with baseball.Last night he won his game..He got a hit and made it to 1st and caught a pop flight to the outfield.And man I missed it.I was with the girls at tumbling.(I guess that is what happens when you have children and conflicting sports schedule..But I am sure my mom did a lot of screaming when caught the ball.And if you know my mom she is a screamer when it come to sports.)He is still in Taekwondo.He has just earn his orange belt.And Dad just got a heavy bag for his birthday and Robert was so excited because he can have his dad help him with his moves...and training.
This Saturday he is receiving his First Communion.I am so proud...

Madelyn is busy with her gymnastics.It is improving with every class.She has her moments still but she is doing better.I think I did a good move with the gym I chose because the gym is a small on a little less distracting for Maddy.Do get me wrong I love Lisa's Gymnastics but Maddy would have shutdown in her gym because it was so large of a gym...I hope on day Lisa can forgive me for the choice I had to make.Because Maddy has issues with large crowds like her Dad when he was younger.

Well as some of you know I was laid off of one of my jobs but it was ok with me.I have been working with Maddy and her speech it is slowly improving too..Do get me wrong I think she will need help from a speech therapist..But since I have been home and the help with the show Word World flash cards she is making more improvements..I sure hope they make more flash cards..
I also have been busy with all my design team work for The Memory Zone.. It has been fun making my sketches for their blog.. Everyone one has seemed to like what I come up with..

We have been working around the house to make improvements..Robbie is making a patio in the back from the house to the pool it is huge.I hope he gets it done soon..We are also planting a garden this year we are have tomatoes,lettuce,peppers,pumpkins,and some other veggies..The kids are so excited that the seeds we start a while ago are growing so big.I have been growing them in my basement under a light for a while now I am waiting for mother's day so I can plant them outside and I can have my laundry room back it is need of some good cleaning..I need to choose a color for Maddy's room..she wants pink.I wants light mint green.Then I can say her room is finally done.Robbie fixed her closet and put up a second bar.it is so nice and organize.He was so inspired he went downstairs and finished Roberts closet too. He put in shelves and a new bar..we are almost finish organized his room too..Wow I am so shocked.Now We need warm weather so I can organized our shed and get my other crap out of my mother garage attic.Get everything ready and price for the garage sale..
My best friend Charity inspired me to make my own clip-it..so her is it...

Why I have blogged...
Lots have happen in the last month and a half.
I sprain my ankle and few week ago and it still hurts til this day...

I now have a fourteen year old.And it scares me to dead..It is a realization that my baby will be driving a car in 2 years by herself.( look out everyone.)She is getting a job this summer..She can wait I can because me and my mother will be her taxi service.
We also went to her freshman scheduling wow.It was nothing like when I was at Hobart.It is now so amazing and she will be in the new high school in Jan of 2009.So she will start in the old high school and after Christmas break they will go to the new high school.She is also taking Gym during the summer,Man I wish I could have done that.It is simply awesome you don't have to go back to class feeling all gross and sweaty..And she is trying out for high school cheerleading.She is also in softball for the third year. Robert is now in Taekwondo he want to earn his black belt.He loves it.I am so proud of him.He is doing good in school.And has signed up for baseball again.He has the same wonderful coach as he had last year.He is growing like a weed.I think on average I shop for him new shoes every 2 months...I think he will be as tall as my brother Jim.
And Miss Maddy we can all thank Alley for the new pose.Alley taught Maddy to throw up the peace sign every time Mommy takes a photo.She is in Gymnastics still and loving it she has her attitude moments.But she is doing great.She is talking more and more each day.I have to thank PBS and the show Word World she loves it.She is sounding out alot.

Busy weekend....

Well Maddy started gymnastic.It was a little trying at first but I am sure she will learn to love it.She need to interact with kids her own age.
After 9 months which in middle school time is forever Alley is a single girl.And in my eyes thank God for that.So when it came to the Valentine dance this Friday she asked her friend Cliff to go with her so she would not have to go all alone.She had a blast.Yes I know the dress is a little short but for the price was right and it was 2 hours til the dance I said yes..She look FABULOUS!!!!

She had a slumber party this weekend.With Caitlin and Amber..I laugh so hard when they decided to prank a few of they girlfriends it was so funny.It took me back to being 13 all over again.

Can you say sleep.I don't think they got to bed until almost 3 in the morning.And then were up by 10am.I would be sleeping all day..The girls were MySpace for the rest of the afternoon.

I got the call at 5:07 tonight that I am one of the new members of The Memory Zone design team..I was so excited I screamed on the phone.I was even more excited when Charity called me at 5:11 to tell me she is also on the design team..YIPPY!!!!!!!

Back to normal.Now my life has been very busy this last month.We moved my grandmother to a senior apartment building.It took us the weekend to get her moved and unpack for the most part. She loves it ( she has made a few friends there too).She is now closer to us.I have been cooking her meals.I think now she has a few meals in her freezer ready to eat in case it snow and I can't get there.Wow..I am normally not that prepared when it when it comes to cooking.Maybe because it don't like cooking and I am horrible at it ...At least my kids don't complain that much..LOL..
I have to finish Christmas shopping this weekend with Robbie.I want to have them all wrapped by next weekend.I don't like to wait for the last minute..I always say I will be done shopping before December 1st..I don't know what happened this year??
Well mom is gone with Alley this weekend for cheerleading competition in Indy.So I will busy...with dad and grandma.. and finish Christmas projects..

I can say one thing Thank goodness it didn't rain..It was cold but that was it.The joy of living in Indiana you base you children Halloween costumes around the weather and if you can fit warmer clothes to fit under them.
OK everyone..I am so sorry it took me forever to post the kiddos in their costumes.We had an OK night as you know I was sick.At least I brought the camera...
Alley was a Pink Lady from the movie Grease.She was going to be a trappy Dorothy from the Wizard of OZ.But when she found out Tony was going to be a T-Bird she wanted to change her costume..Thank goodness...She looked so cute....
Robert want to be Link from the game Zelda.So I started making it.Big thanks to Uncle Jimmy for the drawing of the shield all I had to do was paint..Thanks again Jim..

And Miss Maddy was going to be a pumpkin again but she wouldn't keep the hat on so On the 30th I went to Jo-Anns and found this cute Ladybug..She look adorable..She fell asleep before Trick or Treat was over...

Well everyone says,"Home is where your heart is ."I guess home is where my street is.Because in 2005 I moved across the street from my childhood home.Where I lived from 2 to 25.It is so funny to think back I never thought I would live so close.I knew I would stay in Hobart because our saying is "Once a Brickie always a Brickie."I remember my parents neighbors Mr. & Mrs.Hamilton would talk about our street all the time.They told us stories about the Indians walking from Gary to Downtown Hobart to trade goods.And that a movie star from the 20s or 30s vacation home was the house on the hill next to my mom & dads.And a sad memory too.That my dad's best friend's son Brian (a playmate of mine) was struck and killed by a car when he was 5 years old.I was taught we live on a very busy road so be EXTRA CAREFUL!!!I am teaching my children that now.It is amazing all the things I know about our street.It is a beautiful place to grow-up! AND I LOVE IT!!

I look back and remember our wedding day it was simply beautiful.The weather was perfect.The best thing about that day was that my father was able to walk me down to Robbie.My flowers were beautiful my mother's best friend Aunt Pam made they for me.And I wore the locket of my grandmother.Her brother gave it to her before he went to war.Where he was killed at Pearl Harbor.It meant so much for me to wear that locket.I wore the crown (minus the veil because I already had children)my mother wore on her wedding day.The day was so wonderful it was the day I married my best friend to spent the rest of my life with.I love the fact I will grow old with him.He is the amazing..

Look at our little baker.I was at the Dollar Tree and couldn't resist buying this for Maddy..She now wants to be in the kitchen helping Mom and Dad all the time.I think I know what Maddy is going to want for Christmas..Should I call Santa...Shhh don't tell Maddy..

Well I don't know where mind has been..I guess busy with school and activities.I didn't even post the first day of school pics from last month.So now you will be seeing them in there layouts..They are growing so fast.It is so hard to believe I have an eighth and a third grader.

Last Tuesday while Robbie was at work he cut himself on a piece of glass.After a trip to the ER,A tetanus and several stitches later.We are on the road of recovery...
At Lisa's this year we changed the uniforms..Can you say GO,GO POWER RANGERS.This is the first time they wore them.At the popcorn festival parade on Saturday.
Alley in the air...
And I haven't post a picture of Alley and Tony.They started dating at the begin of summer.Me and Melissa still can't believe it.They have know each other since Meister.And in fact when Alley was in 5th and Tony in 4th.Tony was chasing Alley and fell and chip this tooth..And now the are dating..He has spent most of the summer swimming at the house...So it feels like I have a fourth child..It is ok I love him like my own...

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! The bowl is flooded...Man that is alot of water.

The backside of the brickie bowl... this is locker rooms the brown building and the teacher park lot flooded..

The last week it has rain so much that is flood the brickie bowl...I remember when I was in school is the last time I think the bowl flooded...So being the scrapbooker I had to run out and get photos..

This morning I woke up to some punk in a little blue car.Going to fast around the corner.Hitting the sign.Knocking down my wooden fence going thur my lilac bush going airborne messing up my yard,nearly hitting my neighbors car.Where the sign ended up underneath .And to top it all off.He didn't even stop.He ran thur the stop sign on liverpool and old ridge rd.And Is most likely hiding out in his house like the chicken shit he is!!!!!!
All I can say is thank God..Robbie was not standing there.I sent him off to work earlier.He would have been hit or even kill because his truck is always parked right there.

I guess this is a game of catch up...We had a great 4th of July...We went to the Hobart parade.Then to Patrice's cousin Tara's house for picnic..Home for Maddy's nap and so Robbie and the kids to go swimming.. Back to downtown Hobart to the fireworks..It was nice to see all those familiar faces we see every year this time of year.So sorry the firework pics are blurred Alley took my camera..

Yippy.....IT IS DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well Ladies...It has happened!!!Finally last night we finished my scrapping/computer room..I think i have everything where I want.And the only thing I can say is I LOVE IT..It is so beautiful..And I never thought in a million year that I would have a room with my favorite color on the walls.But now I do.
My kiddos help with the move.And ask me and robbie "Why do scrapbookers have so much stuff?'' Robbie replied,Because it is your mother hobby and we don't ask questions.All I could do was laugh..There is a few thing I have left to do..But it is just wall hangings over the computer..
So the invite is open to come and scrap.Now we have 3 rooms done and what seems like a million to go.LOL.I still need to hang up robert's pictures on his walls then,I can take pictures..

A new layout,Birthday and a new room

This is a new layout I did of Alley and her friends Claire and Ashley In front of the middle school.Man does that bring back the memories..This was my challenge for Chica's Cafe..

Last Sunday we had Robert's birthday..He had a blast..Here is the pictures as I promised.Robert,Jon,Alley.But they haven't slept in it yet..Hopefully soon..
This weekend we have been busy like other fixing up the house..We are FINALLY working on my scrapping room..As you can see my room is my favorite color PURPLE...Yippy..I will be painting some circle on the wall with bright green paint.It matches the curtains.That I made..Robbie is working on the floor.I love and can wait to move my room upstairs.The last picture is all my room in a corner in the basement.I even purchase a new table.and my bestest friend Charity's Dad gave me a new purple chair to go with my room.WOW..I guess the next room will be Maddy's or the frontroom..Which I am not sure what color to paint Maddy..I have the frontroom pick out.It is a warm tan color.I will take picture after I paint.

One year older & One room done...

Well I have a nine year old..We had his birthday party yesterday for the family he wants to take a few friends and go mini golfing very soon..He received his video game and books he wanted for Uncle Jim and Auntie Mer.Mom and Dad also got him a video game..Auntie Patrice got him a tent and lantern..Grandma is going out later to pick up his present because she didn't know what video game or book he wanted.LOL...He was so excited to go with Grandma to get his gift..He loves spending time with Grandma alone...He has grown up so much this year..

Well we can finally say Alley's bedroom is done..All we have to do is put up the trim..But that is it..Yippy...Alley love how grown up her room looks..I love the colors we pick out....
Alley gave her little sister Maddy her old princess canopy..Now it look like Miss Maddy has a priness room..So pretty..
Life here has been so busy still...We moved Robert bedroom.I will take some pictures to show everyone later.And Rob is redoing the floor in Robert's old room so that will become my new scrapping room.I can wait.I have been put on hold with an area to scrap.My chica Charity has offer her room so I can used it.I might have to.Well the kiddos have been in the pool all weekend.My nephews love coming to auntie becky..They can't get enough of the pool.Last night when they left they were already talking about the next time they are coming over.

Well since a have a blog with my fellow chica Charity for *chica's cafe*.I decide it was easier to blog here than than yahoo.So here it goes..
For Mother's Day Robbie and the kids bought me a new camera..Yes another one.haha.Like I need a new one since my other one isn't ever a two years old.But I take so many pictures I need a change...I love this one it is smaller.So great.In fact mom and Alley have the same camera too..But Alley's is red..
Life here has been a bit busier than usual with school ending for the year.And Baseball and Softball games and cheer practice.Alley has one more band concert.Then that is it for the year.Thank goodness Maddy not in something.(but grandma is already talking about gymnastics)Maybe this fall.When Robert is in Karate.
Memorial Day Weekend was great.We had birthdays and cookouts..And we finally opened the pool.Alley friends came over to swim they had a great time.
